By day, I am a social impact strategist who creates spaces for companies, organizations & institutions to think about their thoughts. In turn, I save them money by transforming the inequities in their policies, practices & procedures. FUN FACT: Oppression is expensive & costs companies a lot of unnecessary spending.

By more day (because at night, I be sleep) I have managed to monetize a singular character trait that I've been called my entire life...FUNNY ACTING.

I grew up being called "funny acting" more times than I can count. Eventually I realized that I am indeed funny acting...and I'm also sometimes tired, sometimes overwhelmed, sometimes underwhelmed, sometimes hungry, sometimes I ain't feel like coming and a host of other more expansive things.

A more holistic view of what I was experiencing as a child, is emotions that exist outside of humanity’s insufficient frame for Black girls, Black non-binary people, Black femmes & Black women. One thing I am clear of is that we are far more than stuck-up, standoffish & sometimey. And...sometimes we are stuck-up, standoffish and sometimey.

Funny Acting Black Girl® was created with a mission: to disrupt flattened one-dimensional labels assigned to Black girls, Black non-binary people, Black femmes, and Black women.
